Stargirl Aftershow

“Icicle” with guest Neil Jackson

Sarah and Shawn discuss “Icicle,” which introduces us to our ‘Big Bad’ for the season. We also have a lengthy chat with the big Bad himself, Neil Jackson!

It’s a fantastic episode, and the first in our series of interviews, which will be continuing in EVERY EPISODE moving forward!

  1. I just wanted to say how much I’m enjoying the podcast and all the behind the scenes Easter eggs. One thing I wanted to point out was your statement that the creator of Alan Scott/Golden Age GL was Martin Nodell. This is only half correct as GL was co-created by Nodell AND Bill Finger. With all the years his family fought to get his rightful name associated as the co-creator of Batman, he deserves the same recognition for Alan Scott.
    Keep up the great podcasting!

    1. Hi, thanks for the kind words and for mentioning this Bill Finger thing…
It is my understanding, however, that Mart Nodell DID create GL solo, but brought on Bill to help write for a few years after the initial 5-page story. We posted about this a while back on Twitter and Instagram, in a post where we also credited him with co-creating Wildcat.
We’re big Bill Finger fans here and don’t want to short-change him in any way. So, if you have a good source that he actually co-created GL (or even that he claimed to), please let us know so that we can update our info and our audience!
